Measure a shirt you already own
The fastest way to get this right is to lay a t-shirt you like flat, smooth it out, and measure straight across the chest one inch below the armholes. Match that number to the chest width column below. Do not measure your body and compare it to these numbers, because this cut is roomy and you will size up by mistake.
The numbers
These are the blank manufacturer's published measurements for the Comfort Colors 1717, in inches, measured flat. We have not measured shirts ourselves, and we say so rather than pass someone else's chart off as our own.

Chest width is measured one inch below the armholes, straight across the garment laid flat. Body length runs from the high point of the shoulder, where the shoulder seam meets the neckline, straight down to the bottom of the back hem.
How it fits
The cut is relaxed and boxy. The body is tubular, so there are no side seams. If you want a closer fit through the body, take the size below your usual one and check the chest number first.
Garment dyeing shrinks the blank before you get it. The fabric is dyed after the shirt is sewn, which pre-shrinks it. Wash cold and tumble dry low and the fit stays close to what the chart says.
Not every color comes in every size
Our print partner stocks an uneven run of this blank. Black is the only color that carries S through 4XL. Some colors carry two sizes. This is not a stock problem on our end, and it is the same across all six designs.
The full grid sits on the home page, and the size buttons on any product page change when you switch color. If a size button disappears when you pick a color, that combination does not exist.
